Parkside Guesthouse

Breakfast was excellent, the rooms were very clean, and the staff were friendly. Illona was especially welcoming. I only stayed briefly at Parkside Guesthouse, but it was absolutely worth it. Illona, Brian and the team, thanks so much for a lovely stay. I’ll be back soon, and for longer next time.

I ended up needing a place in Ladismith for a few nights unexpectedly, and this was great value. The beds were really comfortable, the shower was great, and the rooms were spotless with lovely linen. Iona and her team made me feel welcome and were very accommodating. Housekeeping and service were excellent. I’d recommend staying here.

The food was delicious, and the staff were warm, attentive and efficient. Ilona was a wonderful hostess. My room was clean and had simple but lovely touches. It felt like being at home while still being away. Thanks so much for the hospitality. I’ll recommend it.

The bed was very comfortable, and there were extra blankets for colder weather. My room was spacious and clean, with a strong Wi-Fi signal, and the bathroom was clean and roomy too. The owner greeted me and made me feel at home right away. This was my first stay at Parkside Guesthouse, and it was a pleasant one. There’s tea and coffee in the room, plus access to the kitchen and its fridge, though I did miss having a small fridge in my room. The ensuite bathroom has a door for privacy, but the shower itself is open, so it can feel breezy while you’re in there. The rooms generally look out toward the pool and lounge area. I checked out very early and couldn’t have breakfast, but they offered me a breakfast pack. The owners also run a fish and chips shop if you’d like something different from the guesthouse food. I only stayed one night, but I found it pleasant and would visit again. If you’re in the area, give it a try. Just my opinion.
