Umzolozolo Private Safari Lodge

We felt looked after from the moment we arrived. Our host, Henry, paid close attention to our group’s particular needs and quirks, and every team member seemed to know our names, which was a lovely surprise. The rooms, dining and other facilities were all kept to a high standard. After we left, I realised I’d forgotten my binoculars on a patio. The team arranged to ship them back to me free of charge within a few days. That kind of care is rare and much appreciated. Our only regret was not booking another day, since we weren’t ready to leave. Highly recommended for luxury with a genuine soul. And yes, the game drives and big 5 experience are the best in Southern Africa.

Siya Zwane made our game drives especially memorable. He knows the bush, animals, their behaviour, and the science of nature so well, and shared it with patience and enthusiasm. He was friendly and professional, made us feel at ease, and has a great eye for photography. He helped us capture some beautiful safari moments. The kitchen team was amazing and super friendly, and the food, atmosphere and attention to detail were exceptional. “Ay kuyadliwa emzolozolo” 😂🥲 We had a relaxing, luxurious stay at Umzolozolo Private Safari Lodge. The rooms were peaceful and surrounded by nature, and the staff made us feel welcome and special throughout. Seeing wildlife up close on the drives was breathtaking, a once-in-a-lifetime experience. I highly recommend Umzolozolo Private Game Lodge, and the presidential suite is worth booking if you can. Definitely somewhere I’d visit again 🫶🏽.

We spent three nights at Umzolozolo and saw loads of wildlife on the daily drives, thanks to our amazing driver Siya. The accommodation and service were impeccable, and the lodge itself was beyond beautiful. Food, drinks and service were all 10/10, and the staff knew us by name. One of the best places we’ve ever stayed, an experience of a lifetime. Anyone going to South Africa must come here!

The tours, food, welcome, drive to the resort, and the people all came together for one of the most moving and unreal experiences I’ve ever had. We stayed for three days and four nights, and I feel so lucky to have had such a beautiful visit. Thank you to every single person at Umzolozolo resort.
