Onnie Guesthouse

I’d been a loyal customer at Onnie’Guesthouse in LTT opposite Murunwa School since 2021, booking there whenever I brought my cars to LTT for service. After four years of staying there and recommending it to friends and family, I felt deeply hurt by what happened today. My dealer's courtesy car dropped me off around 08:30, assuming I was going to my usual place, but I was told to wait outside the gate until 10:30. I explained it wasn’t safe and I had nowhere else to go, but I was left stranded. I eventually got Onnie’s number from the app and called to negotiate, and they let me in. The water was very cold, the duvets smelled bad, and there was no waiting area or reception if you arrive before check-in. The customer service was bad too. I suggest the staff get customer service training. Anyway, it's fine. 👍

The room was very clean, but lacked basics like bathing soap, lotion, and proper toilet paper. There was just one towel for two people, and we even found a roach on the floor. Another unsettling thing was that one of the two doors stayed unlocked and led to the owner's main house. We also felt restricted by the main house rule against going out after 22h30. We paid for comfort and freedom, and this is a place for adults, not children. In the morning, the aircon suddenly stopped, and we had to wait a full 10 minutes for someone to inspect the room before we could leave. The rustic charm wore off quickly, and we won't return. They need to do better.

The water was extremely cold, and the neighbours were noisy from 2am. The duvet inner had brown stains and smelled bad, and the blanket was dirty too. The towel was a disaster. There was no bathroom carpet or toilet paper. Tjooo, hai bafethu, I wouldn't recommend booking here. 💔👎

The receptionist seemed inexperienced, and the bed smelled and was very uncomfortable. Noise from the neighbouring room was too much. The curtains were falling down, there was no hot water, and the shower wasn't clean. No bin for rubbish, bath towel, bathroom mat, or soap, and the blanket was a mess. Yoh, never again.
