The breakfast was fresh, filling, and had plenty to choose from, and I loved having the coffee machine plus complimentary wine and brandy. The views are breathtaking, the rooms are spacious and spotless, and everything feels modern. The staff were wonderful, especially the warm, friendly, professional lady. Luxurious in the best treat-yourself way. They even have a gym. Loved it and will definitely return. This is the only place that matters in Makhado.

Johanna even got up very early to make breakfast for us, and the owner had our invoices and other documents ready the night before, since we needed to leave early. The service was awesome and the place is gorgeous. The Department of Defence booked us in at Schimper View from 13 to 15 October 2025, and I loved my stay. Thank you so much for accommodating us. Whenever I'm in Makhado, I'll definitely book Schimper View again. 💓🥰

The peaceful setting and lovely views made it easy to relax, while the location was still handy for local attractions. I was welcomed with a drink and a warm hand towel after the long trip, and the friendly staff kept looking after me throughout my stay. The room was beautifully decorated, spotless, and very comfortable. Complimentary wine and slippers were a nice extra. Schimper View Boutique Guest House paid attention to all the little details, and I felt pampered from the moment I arrived. I had a memorable, luxurious stay and will definitely return. Highly recommend it.

We had such a relaxing stay, and a big thank you to the team for that. The outside area has a lovely view, and the house itself is beautifully furnished, with just a few rooms. Our room was excellent, spacious, and tastefully decorated, and the bathroom was lovely too. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was delicious and clearly made with care. We'd definitely recommend it.
