Thonga Beach Lodge

Our final stop on a honeymoon was five nights here, and everything was amazing: the people, the food, and the bungalows. We were upgraded to a perfect place overlooking the ocean. Lush green forest runs down to miles of empty beach, with warm water, no litter, no people, and a feeling of complete safety. Add the great KZN weather, excellent service, and really good food. It's the most isolated, peaceful, perfect spot I've ever visited. I can't think of anything I'd change, and I'll definitely be back soon.

Our family, my wife, our 2 kids, and I, spent a few unforgettable days at Thonga Beach Resort. The untouched beach was framed by lush, green sand dunes, with the Indian Ocean just beyond. It felt like our own private paradise, surfing on the beautiful, empty shore with clear blue water and pristine dunes all around. Evenings were special too. We had sunset drinks overlooking the glassy waters of Lake Sibaya, watching hippos surface and hearing birds calling. Those peaceful, wild moments felt completely authentic and will stay with us. The staff were warm, friendly, and incredibly attentive, and nothing was too much trouble. We also loved the delicious variety of food at every meal. The personal, relaxed service made a real difference. It's a remote, breathtaking place where luxury and nature come together, and we can't wait to return.

The beach was our favourite part, with long walks, swimming, and the sound of the ocean. The lodge is right on the shore, with soft sand, turquoise water, and real tranquility. We came as a family and felt at home straight away. The place is cozy, well maintained, and inviting, and the staff were warm, attentive, and made us feel welcome. A lovely spot to unwind, enjoy nature, and make memories together. We'll definitely be back!
