We stayed just one night, and I really appreciated that they let me book a single night when so few places do. It was for our anniversary, so the team made the room feel super romantic and even brought us a sweet plate after dinner. Such a peaceful setting, with really friendly staff. Breakfast was superb. Thanks for an unforgettable stay.

Felix gave excellent service, and the setting was great. The chocolate “Happy anniversary” on our dessert plates was a lovely touch. But the meal let things down: my 200g sirloin was so full of gristle that I could only eat about half. The waiter said he’d tell the chef after taking note, but nobody came back to us, not even with an apology. It spoiled what was otherwise a good experience.

Budmarsh Country Lodge is a real diamond in Magaliesburg, and I can’t wait to come back. The food was out of this world, more than five stars, and huge thanks to the chefs Esther, Lawrence and Rumbi. Felix, Wongani, Shalom and the rest of the staff were always smiling, in a good mood, and gave excellent service. Much gratitude to everyone.

I was only there briefly for work, but the food was absolutely amazing. The room was comfortable, with a jet bath, a good shower, air conditioning, and peaceful views. There aren’t any USB plugs or an exercise area, though this is really a place for rest and relaxation, and it’s superb for that.

We had a relaxing weekend at Budmarsh Country Lodge. Breakfast and dinner are set menus, and the food was excellent. The room had a jet bath as well as a small shower. Given how big the bathroom is, the shower could definitely be larger. The bar fridge in our room wasn’t working, unfortunately.
