This unpretentious lodge is located in Malelane. Hamiltons is named after the first warden of The Kruger National Park, Sir James Stevenson Hamilton. We are located on Riverside Farm in the heart of the agricultural hub of Mpumalanga just 500m from Malelane Kruger Gate, 45km from the borders of both Mozambique and Swaziland. A family owned and run Lodge and Restaurant with a relaxed and casual atmosphere, where guests come to unwind and breathe in the fresh bushveld air in our rustic surrounds enjoying comfortable, modern and spacious rooms. Catering for families with children, groups of friends, business men or travellers passing through, Hamiltons is perfectly situated to explore the diverse surrounding attractions.

The game drive was a real highlight. They organised it for us, and we saw four of the Big Five. Our Christmas dinner also exceeded expectations, and the team were happy to meet our modest requests. Quinton and his team made our family Christmas vacation a dream. We felt at home as soon as we checked in and were treated like VIP guests all holiday. The staff really understand hospitality and were so personable. The food was always hot and fresh, a 10/10. I hope to come back soon. Thank you for everything!

We had lunch at the restaurant yesterday, though we didn’t stay at the lodge. The service was good, but the food took a long time. After 40 minutes we had to ask, then waited about another 10 before it arrived. The mussels were lovely and the pizzas were good. Dessert was a complete miss for all three of us. The white chocolate cheesecake tasted of nothing, was bland and really not edible. At R85 a slice, that was horrible. None of us finished it. A terrible letdown.

We were close to the Kruger Malelane Gate, and the food and service were great. The staff were so friendly and kind. They even brought out mosquito repellent when we ate outside in the evening, which really helped. Thanks, guys.
