The noise is unbearable, especially with people in the building next door having to work the next day. It kept waking me up, and the racket this morning would drive anyone cuckoo. There was loud noise from 6pm until 6am, and I was woken three times. I’ve had to call the police because guests make terrible noise and show no respect for the by-laws. This happened again on Friday night, 13 April, after 11pm. In my opinion, this area is turning into a slum thanks to Casablanca. I don’t believe Casablanca is zoned for commercial use, but correct me if I’m wrong. The police are coming this evening to discuss the noise. Municipal by-laws are now in place: when police respond to a noise complaint, they’ll give a warning; on the second response, there’s a R500 fine; and on the third, tenants will be escorted off the property.

There were insects and ants in both units, and no iron or ironing boards. We weren’t allowed to make noise by the pool during the day because the neighbours called the police. When we asked for a refund for one night so we could move somewhere cleaner, the answer was no. This was the worst place I’ve ever stayed, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. Utterly disappointed.
