La Kruger Lifestyle Lodge

It’s such a lovely, peaceful place to rest and recharge. I love that there isn’t even a TV.

The staff were VERY friendly, and it’s convenient that Kruger activities are organised from the lodge and depart there. We visited in June, so the pool was cold and mornings and evenings were chilly. I imagine the atmosphere is even better in hot weather, when breakfast and dinner can be outside instead of indoors as in winter. Our twin standard room was OK. Breakfast is served from 7:00 to 8:30, which worked since we usually left earlier for activities, and sometimes they arranged a late breakfast. Dinner was OK too, but we chose to eat out on the other nights because there are alternatives in the park.

The lodge is in Marloth Park, a short distance from Kruger, so the location worked well for me. I especially appreciated the room upgrade and having meals and wine on the private terrace. The staff were very friendly and accommodating about my dietary and dining preferences. Next time I return to Kruger, I’ll choose the chalet. It was a memorable stay in the bush.

Dining outside under the stars with lions calling in the distance was lovely, and the food was delicious. The spacious rooms, outside shower, friendly and helpful staff, and beautiful surroundings all made our stay at La Kruger exceptional. It’s an intimate lodge with a wonderfully relaxing feel, and the pool was a great way to cool off in the African heat. We loved our visit and can’t wait to return. I highly recommend La Kruger to anyone thinking of treating themselves. Thank you, La Kruger!
