The TV setup was disappointing. There’s no DSTV or smart TV, so we couldn’t connect with our own profile. It only has OVHD, with limited channels, and that isn’t compatible with DSTV. A smart TV would fix this. The bedrooms weren’t comfortable either. The mattresses were wobbly and noisy, and we tried moving to another room, but they were all the same. The kitchen had a serious cleanliness problem, with cockroaches, both dead and alive. The windows were dirty too. I wonder how many cockroaches we took home in our bags. Our stay was unpleasant and uncomfortable.

We had a great stay at Peace @ Kruger and would love to go back. The huge entertainment area was the best part, with plenty of seating, a viewing deck up in the tree canopy, a splash pool with a portable umbrella, and a boma facing the braai area. Rooibok, kudu, and warthogs visited us every day, while our neighbours saw zebra and giraffe. The house has three en suite bedrooms. Two have double or queen beds, and the third has two single beds. There’s a shower in one bathroom and a bathtub in another. The kitchen is fully equipped for a family, with a scullery that has a washing machine and chest freezer. It’s also easy to forget you’re in the Bush, with plenty nearby, including a Spar Savmore, restaurants, and pubs.
