Louise came to our rescue after a booking mix-up at another lodge. We reached Marloth Park at 18:00, and she welcomed us warmly at short notice. The rooms were just right, and we had a lovely breakfast before leaving. She also looked after our luggage so we could spend the day at Kruger National Park. A beautiful place, and one we can happily recommend. Thanks again, Louise.

Louise and her son made our family feel completely at home at ThornForest. The rooms were clean and really cozy, and Louise cooked us a two-course dinner that was Michelin star level. She also planned an amazing safari for us and packed breakfast to take along. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely be back!

Dinner beneath the winter stars, with a bush fire nearby and bushbabies, warthogs, impala, wildebeest and bush buck feeding just metres away, was a highlight for us. We had a wonderful family holiday with our two boys, aged 16 and 14. Louise made everything easy, from the welcome and rooms to the food, location and checkout. Nothing felt like too much trouble.

The property felt safe and lovely, and there was private parking available. Louise and Neil were kind, always ready to help, and gave us great advice. We ate wonderfully at both dinner and breakfast, with local products and clearly talented chefs. I can only thank them for everything.

After five nights and the best game viewing we’ve ever had in Kruger, we spent our last evening by the river fence at Marloth Park. We had boerewors rolls while watching hippos play in the water, listening to hyenas bark and enjoying all the birds. A fitting end to the stay. The setting was lovely, the rooms seriously comfortable and the hosts great. I’ll definitely be back next year. Thank you, Louise and Neil!
