The Kingdom Resort

We stayed in number 53 from the 14th to the 21st of November 2025 and had a great week. The building was excellent, and there was no noise keeping me up at night, which I really liked. There is some construction going on, but it’s only a small downside since you can see the Resort is expanding. That’s good news for the Resort.

For the price, it’s a really good deal compared with Sun City Accommodation, especially with Pilanesberg National Park so close by. The rooms were immaculately clean, and the amenities were very nice. Staff were helpful and friendly, and when there was an issue with the air on arrival, they sorted it promptly. A great place to stay if you’re heading to the area.

The rooms were spacious, but the TV only had dstv, with no streaming, and the wifi wasn’t great. Reception staff weren’t friendly. They ignored my kids when they politely said hello and asked for towels while with their uncle. At checkout, they said they couldn’t provide a business invoice because they don’t handle bookings. What is reception there for? I checked out last week and still haven’t received the invoice. Cats right next to our room kept bothering us while we sat outside and even got into the house. The bartenders were slow with the drinks, although the drinks tasted good. The resort itself is good.

The accommodation felt luxurious and looked recently renovated, and check-in and checkout were quick and efficient. It rained all weekend, so we played cards instead of swimming, which I’d been looking forward to. There are several pools and other activities to keep adults and kids occupied. The game drives are expensive and probably aimed at foreign tourists. Bring bottled water, as the tap water tastes like mud, even after boiling it for tea or coffee.
