During the Mossel Bay fires, our family was anxious about whether our own homes would be lost. Annel and Hercu Smit gave our mother Sharon, her partner Johan, and his elderly parents a safe place to stay at Diaz Beach House, along with food and other comforts. They welcomed the whole fur and feathered family too, and looked after both the people and pets with real care. The guesthouse was spotless, peaceful, well maintained, and right by the beach. From the moment they arrived, everyone felt at ease. Annel and Hercu offered much more than rooms, and their kindness helped ease a very stressful time. We’re grateful they made our family feel at home. It’s a beautiful, welcoming place with hosts who truly care.

Diaz Beach House was a really comfortable stay. The rooms are clean, tidy, and clearly well looked after. It’s also in a great spot near the beach, good for relaxing or seeing the area. I’d happily recommend it to anyone wanting a peaceful place at Diaz Beach.

We stayed in room 5, which was roomy and clean. The shower-only bathroom worked fine for us, and the balcony was a nice spot to unwind with a drink. Parking is secure. There’s a safe, though it only fits things smaller than a tablet.

The staff at Diaz Beach Guesthouse were caring, professional, and friendly throughout our stay in Mosselbai. Breakfast was very nice, the place was clean, and it was good value. This is one of the best B&Bs I’ve found while travelling in SA, and it felt like a home away from home.
