The chalets are spotless and very tidy, and most have a covered braai area on the stoep. Hosts are helpful and accommodating. There’s a beautiful swimming pool, plus a warm pub with a pool table. The beach, Hartenbos town, and the shopping area are all nearby.

The resort is well managed and in mint condition. It’s a great choice if you’re looking for peace and quiet. It isn’t right on the beach, but the lagoon, Hartenbos Beach, and nearby shops are all just a few minutes’ walk away.

The Hartenbos campsite was immaculate and well kept. Every site had level paving, grass, water, and plug points. Management and staff were always welcoming and friendly, and the rates compared well with other local caravan parks. It’s a short 1 km walk to Hartenbos main beach, and there was no road traffic or neighbourhood noise.
