One of the best guesthouses we’ve stayed at. The owners were friendly, the room was neat and tidy, and it had everything we needed, plus a few things we hadn’t thought of. Other guesthouse owners should take a training program from them. Little things like dish soap, a soap dispenser at the basin, shampoo, body wash, and an extension lead so the hairdryer reaches the mirror don’t cost a fortune, but they really lift the experience.

We had a 5-star experience during our 4 nights at Hartenbos Breakaway, with excellent service and pricing more competitive than caravan stands in the area. The beach, shops, and restaurants are all within walking distance, which is a big plus. Free braai wood was the cherry on top. Make this your next holiday destination. You won’t be disappointed.

The hosts make you feel welcome, and they’re attentive without hovering. We stayed in the light house on this trip, and even the smallest details are taken care of. Be sure to follow the rules on the beam between the kitchen and bedroom. It’s always a pleasure coming "home" to Breakaway. One of the best restaurants stops I’ve found on my travels. Love you, Breakaway Family! Hopefully I’ll be back soon.

The location is great, with the beach nearby and lots of bars and restaurants within a nice walk of 10 minutes maximum. It’s a very comfortable apartment with a lovely host, all the necessary amenities, and easy parking.

We only stayed one night, unfortunately, and would have loved to stay longer. The host was very welcoming, and the bed was honestly one of the most comfortable we’ve slept on during our travels. This cozy beach house has everything you need for a short visit or a longer stay.
