Stellar Overberg Travellers Lodge

We only stopped for a few nights while travelling around South Africa and visiting friends, but would gladly come back. The plentiful breakfast uses fresh local produce and has lots of variety, a good example of the Swiss quality throughout. Doris and Tibi were wonderfully hospitable. Our pool-facing double room was recently renovated and had such thoughtful touches, including enlarged photos from the owners' own travels around Africa. The lodge had only reopened shortly before we arrived. Highly recommend it if you're nearby.

We had a lovely last few days of 2021 and New Year here. We found the place on Booking.com and booked 5 days on a last-minute whim, just wanting to get away from Cape Town for some time together. The room was basic, but had all we needed, and there was no TV, just nature around us. We made friends with the four very sweet dogs, especially the old one, George !! Breakfast was superb, everything made from scratch from the garden. Service was friendly and great too. We'll definitely be back.

The rooms are roomy and well fitted out, and I felt properly spoilt here. The owners are super friendly but give you space. The entertainment area is fantastic and the pool is sublime. I only wish I could have stayed longer. I'd recommend this spot to anyone after a great getaway.

The rooms and bathrooms are spacious, and everything is very neat, well managed, and newly renovated. A good fit for backpackers or an overnight stop. For a longer stay, the rooms could use basic appliances like a TV or radio, heating and cooling, plus a wardrobe. A door in front of the toilet would be appreciated too.
