Maya & Johno were wonderful hosts, baking fresh bread and lovely rusks that made our stay even more memorable. We booked out pretty much the whole Guest house for a lovely weekend. The accommodation was beautiful, with luxurious white bedding and towels, and large, cool, comfortable rooms. A perfect stay in Napier. Highly recommended.

The Restio County Guest house is a rare place of human connection in a busy world. The kindness of Jono and Maya, along with the outstanding food, made a simple coffee shop visit feel relaxing and personal. The red walls draw you in from the main road in Napier, then steps lead down to the coffee shop and a lovely garden shaded by a huge oak tree. I'd suggest spending a couple of nights in the homely guest house too. Persian carpets, wooden floors, graceful interiors, and old shutters let warm sunlight in as you look out over the village, horses, and vegetable fields. There's enough buzz to keep your imagination going, then a quiet evening to rest in this comfortable, caring old house.

Jonno and Maya were such lovely hosts. The rooms were just right, and we felt welcomed and looked after from arrival right through to leaving. If you're considering staying here, you certainly should. Thank you for a perfect stay.

Maya's delicious breakfasts were the highlight of each morning, and don't miss the on-site coffee shop, with its delightful croissants, cappuccinos, and garden terrace. We had a wonderful 5-day escape in this beautiful guesthouse. The charming decor and cosy rooms made it feel special, and Maya and Jonno's warm welcome had us feeling at home. Can't wait to return!

We've stayed in lots of places over the years, but The Restio is definitely one of our favorites. Maya and Jonno's warm hospitality was so special, the food was delicious, and the rooms were beautiful and comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble. We spent just one night and I highly recommend The Restio.
