Furrows Lodge

The rooms and garden are just beautiful, and we really enjoyed staying here. Thank you, Althea. You should be very proud of your lodge.

The gardens are so lush and green, almost like having a forest right outside rooms 1 to 3. Room 4 is connected to the main house and honeymoon suite, and every room is magnificent. Althea is lovely with people and has made a real haven here. There are thoughtful details everywhere, from mozzie spray and little milk in the fridge to bottled water. The self-catering rooms have well-planned kitchen areas and all the equipment you need, plus fans and air conditioning. There’s a great braai area by the pool, with the equipment ready to use. So much more could be mentioned. I was completely in awe of this amazing place, a true gem and an absolute must-visit.

I jumped into the pool as soon as I arrived, and Zalig and Boeties pub is just 50m away. Althea is so sweet and helpful. The setting in Nieu-Betesda is peaceful and well situated, and we even saw eagles on the drive in. Great for bird watchers. I’d definitely recommend it.

The guest lady was absolutely amazing, and the accommodation was sublime and so relaxing. I stayed here as part of my hike.
