The room was large, and there were plenty of tea and coffee supplies, but the blind wouldn't open, so it stayed dark. The bed linen looked dirty, as if the previous guests had used it. The porch furniture and floor were covered in bird droppings, so we couldn't sit out there. The shower was spacious, though it needs sealing to protect the wooden floor from water damage. When we arrived, every gate was locked and I had to call the host to let us in. We were handed keys for three locks, and one was difficult to manage. I wouldn't stay here again.

Our host, Malissa, was warm and helpful, answered all our questions, and the service was wonderful. The house itself is beautiful and we enjoyed the stay. The rooms were nicely made up, with air conditioning and private free Wi-Fi, which felt better from a security point of view. The bathrooms were unusual: the drywall partitions only came halfway up, so you could hear everyone in the room. We later heard that this was because the building is a heritage site. The location was convenient for restaurants, although the nearby cars speeding past made it feel somewhat questionable. Otherwise, it was a nice place to stay.

There was no bell at the entrance, and poor connectivity meant I couldn't get through to reception. I had no way to let them know we'd arrived or to get the gate opened.
