Ravenscliff Manor

The hosts were so welcoming and friendly, and the room had plenty of space and everything we needed. Those electric blankets were lovely on cold evenings. Ravenscliff Manor will definitely be our go-to when we visit Oudtshoorn!

The bed was the standout for me: a firm, comfortable mattress, supportive pillows and lovely linen. I’ve had trouble sleeping for years because of old injuries, but I slept better that night than I have in years. The pool was crystal clear too, and we had a dip. We stayed at this guest house the night before the Attakwas Extreme MTB race, and it was one of our best accommodation experiences. The main house felt warm and welcoming, and the care in the details showed throughout. Getting a good night’s rest before such a demanding race matters, and this place delivered beyond what we expected. We travel often, and it’s been a long time since accommodation impressed me this much. Highly recommend it for the comfort, quality and hospitality. Thanks for an unforgettable stay!

Breakfast was amazing, with hot and cold options, or both, so nobody will go hungry. We also asked about the buildings’ history and heard a lovely story. Petrol and her husband were so accommodating, and it shows. From the welcome to being shown our room and getting dinner recommendations, everything at Ravenscliff Manor felt just right. It felt like coming home. We’re planning another trip to Oudtshoorn and will stay here again.

The rooms are spacious, with beautiful, distinctive historic styling and decor, and breakfast was incredible, made with so much care. Leon and Petro put so much heart into the place. Their warm personalities make it feel like a home away from home. A real gem!
