The staff were fantastic, and the facilities were great. I only booked two nights and wished I could have stayed longer. When I asked about canga caves, the office was closed, so reception suggested I check with their colleague in the morning. By the time I called reception the next day, they'd passed on the information and booked my tour. First class service. Make this your first choice when staying in oudtshoorn.

The massage was absolutely divine, but the rest of the experience has left me disappointed twice now. While I was having it, my elderly mother was refused a seat in the lounge with her coffee and scone because staff said they didn't want guests to mess on the furniture. She was sent outside in the cold instead. A few months earlier, we stopped in just for coffee and a scone and were told we needed a booking. Really, for that? Such a shame. The poor attitude and lack of training at the front of house spoiled what could have been lovely. We won't be back.

I had the lamb curry and asked for my basmati rice to be coloured instead of plain white. The chef really did us proud, it looked beautiful and tasted great. The dining room ladies were lovely, with great service and a can do attitude. Ben the cocktail barman was personable, passionate about the drinks, and happy to help with anything.
