We were traveling as four and had booked dinner, bed and breakfast, then learned just before arrival that there was no chef on site. The pool was also unavailable for maintenance in the summer heat, so I cancelled. Booking direct was more expensive than using other platforms, and Olivia agreed to lower the price. If I hadn’t checked my husband’s booking and questioned it, we would have been overcharged. I’m glad I didn’t make the EFT and clear the funds as requested. Save your money and disappointment.

The lodge is lovely, and the staff were very friendly. It’s also close to places like the Cango Caves, Buffelsdrift Game Lodge and Karusa Craft Brewery, which made it a perfect spot for a countryside break.

A great setting, good facilities and excellent staff made this a worthwhile place to stop and split up a long drive. Having a cold drink at sundown before a delicious dinner was hard to beat 👍

Dinner was served in a cold room, so in winter you’ll want to wear a warm sweater. The food choices included ostrich steak, boboti and chicken. Our room was very nice and clean, and breakfast was very good, served at the table.

The lodge is a few miles out of town, with great food and attentive staff. It’s well placed for visiting the meerkats, ostrich farms, Cango caves and the mountains.
