We stayed for two nights and tried every activity on offer. The game drive with Sheneena was absolutely fabulous, and Hannalize, the manager, was wonderful. The rest of the experience was downhill. The kitchen staff, who didn't know how to give a massage, were doing massages at European prices. The cook was away, and the owners were too greedy to hire a replacement, so another staff member who wasn't a cook made us truly awful food. The owners' family was hosting a big, loud Christmas gathering, with lots of screaming kids taking over the small pool. The family had the whole outside terrace blocked off and was also using the kitchen to put together their own meal. It felt like we were uninvited guests at somebody else's party. We were shut inside next to a giant TV screen to eat. We raised our concerns with the owner, Paula, who offered to reimburse some of our accommodation costs as compensation. But when we left, the owners' family was conspicuously absent, and we were presented with the full bill, including all the extras and dodgy massages. This family also owns de Zeekoe farm. We've never had anyone lie to us like that. Totally unprofessional. I would advise against staying at either place. There are plenty of lovely, quiet accommodations nearby that aren't run by dishonest people.

Everyone had a fantastic time. The hiking trails were fabulous, and both the staff and rooms were great. My only suggestion is to put a small fridge in each room so drinks and things can stay cool.

The evening game drive and early hike were both lovely. We also really enjoyed cooling off in the pool during the heat of the day, and the rooms were great. A wonderful stay in January 26, with lovely staff.

The food was outstanding, and we had such a peaceful, relaxing time here. I'd happily recommend it to couples and families.
