The gardens and little quiet corners were lovely, and the room was spacious with a beautiful bathroom. My husband and I had everything we needed for a laid-back Christmas2024 stay. Paarl was too hot for walking, but the location would otherwise be great for it. Thanks, Marlene, for your hospitality.
The dogs and cats made the place feel more like home, and the downstairs sitting room was a great spot to settle in with wine and snacks in the late afternoon or early evening. It has chairs, a couch, and a place to make a fire. There’s also a pool and deck chairs. We stayed three nights. Tony was there to welcome us and show us around, and the location is handy if you’re visiting the local wine farms. Our room was adequately equipped, with a small kitchen. We didn’t cook, but used it for coffee and tea and to heat ready-made meals in the microwave. Highly recommended, and we’ll return on another trip to the area.
A big room with a fully equipped kitchen, plus a lovely pool, outdoor space, and braai area. The place is right in the middle of town on a quiet road. We had a lovely three-night stay.
A nice three-star self-catering apartment with a full kitchen in a safe environment. If he’s out of space, he can arrange affordable accommodation at nearby guesthouses.
They were very friendly on the phone, but once we arrived, everything seemed to be a problem. Staff walked in without notice, and when I asked them to give me some privacy, they said, “my boss wont like that”. Later I got a message saying the aircon had been on too long. It’s summer in paarl, close to 35 degrees, of course we’d use the aircon. We also had three friends over for a quick catch-up, literally just two hours, and apparently that wasn’t allowed either. Worst place to stay in paarl. Never again.
