I’ve been here nearly two and a half months and have loved it. The owners make the place feel like home, and the staff are so polite and helpful. The food is worth trying, especially what the chefs put together. The service has been phenomenal. I’m coming back next year.

Coming back to Leeuwenhof for a second stay was such a pleasure. The old 300-year-old building, lovely setting and facilities all give it a character of its own, and everyone was exceptionally friendly. Our three kids had a great time with the playground and the animals they could see and pet. We also loved the comfortable beds, tasty breakfast and food available during the day. In the evenings, the campfire makes for a warm, welcoming feel. It’s easy to explore the Cape region from here, then come back to somewhere peaceful to relax. I’d happily recommend a visit.

The meals were superb, and the staff were attentive and really friendly. I was with a retreat group at De Leeuwenhof Estate, and the peaceful, beautiful setting exceeded what I expected. One staff member even showed me around the small farm animals on a personal tour, which was such a nice touch. It would be a lovely place for a retreat or a quiet weekday or weekend getaway.

The farm animals add to the whole country feel, and the scenery is lovely and peaceful. It’s also close to town. We enjoyed all the different corners of De Leeuwenhof, from our luxurious room to the pizza and the bar by the pool. The welcome was so warm, service was fast, and the staff are well trained. A real gem and well worth a visit.
