The rooms are cozy and well kept, and the cleaning lady does a fantastic job. They're quite small and close together, though, with people walking right past, so we found ourselves wanting to keep the curtains shut for privacy. Kaia Tani is in a great spot near the Kruger park entrance. Barbara and Paolo, a passionate Italian couple, make the experience very hands-on and friendly. Paolo took us on incredible safari drives, sharing his deep knowledge and tracking animals right up to the last minute of park hours. Barbara arranged gentler outings too, including Jessica the Hippo visit, Moholoholo Rescue Centre, a lovely local fabric shop she suggested to suit our interests, plus a boat ride and night tour. All were well worth doing. They also gave us personal tips for the trip onward, including a Johannesburg restaurant and stops along the road there. We enjoyed the meals, with set dinners adjusted to our preferences and generous breakfasts. Their motto is “you arrive as a guest, leave as a friend,” and that really captures the warm, involved atmosphere. Great for anyone who likes that kind of stay.

Barbara and Paolo made us feel like we were visiting friends, and their passion for their adopted country really came through. Our stay at Kaia Tani was delightful. The staff were friendly and attentive too. The lodge and rooms were clean, calming, and wonderfully rustic. The activities the hosts arranged became some of the absolute highlights of our South Africa trip.

We booked this guest house for my husband's birthday, and it was beyond words, just amazing. The welcome at reception was lovely, and the rooms were neat and really clean. The views and scenery are beautiful, much better than the website pictures show. Service was a definite 10/10. The owner Barbra was so warm, welcoming, and entertaining that I wanted to take her home with me 😋. You have to visit to see how wonderful it is.

We had a great five days at Paolo and Barbara's resort. They were so welcoming and friendly, and we enjoyed our stay. I'd recommend it to anyone spending a few days visiting Kruger Park.
