I had a great first visit and will definitely come back. It was clean and peaceful, and I loved looking at the trees and hearing the birds, even just walking outside. My room was warm because the guy had switched on the aircon while it was cold. The room I originally wanted had a broken locker from the previous guest, but he was really nice about it and fixed it while I was out.

Mario and his wife were pleasant hosts, and we had a comfortable, enjoyable stay. The rooms are roomy, comfortable and well equipped, with a TV that has Netflix. They were also able to accommodate our last-minute booking. We liked the outdoor area for relaxing, and would stay here again if we're in the area. The location wasn't ideal, though it felt quite secure. The kitchen gear wasn't great, so we mostly just used the dishes, kettle and microwave. The oven wasn't very clean, and we had to line it with foil.

That Mexican look really worked for me, it brought back early season Queen of the South vibes and they stayed true to the theme. The staff were amazing, and the owner was gracious and attentive. It's a perfect spot for Comrades runners, only 3km from the start.

I didn't book in the end because of the woman at reception. She was rude and disrespectful when I dealt with her on 19 August 2024, around 11:00 to 12:00. Her ill discipline put me off.
