Moonsong Backpackers

We came back to Moonsong again and had another great stay. The quiet and birdsong were lovely, and our Church enjoyed staying there for the 2023/2024 Cross Over Service in Plet. The owners are friendly and helpful, and they’ve upgraded the place since our last visit while still working on it. There are lots of rooms, some with en suite bathrooms, and everything was very neat. We liked the WiFi, pool boards, spacious areas, braai facilities and the views. The price is attractive too. We’ve been several times and our family and Church will definitely return. A good fit for school, Church, day or weekend functions.

Thanks for having me for two nights. I pitched my tent there and had everything I needed. The owners are really kind, it feels very welcoming, and it was close to the places I wanted to see. Keep it up!

The sky is the highlight here. From the outdoor brick braai area you can clearly see the Milky Way, and it’s hard to find a view of the stars this beautiful anywhere else. For what you pay per person, the place is decent. WiFi is free, with 5mb download and 1mb upload, enough for streaming at 720p. There are 4 shared showers, 2 toilets, and a common kitchen with a 2 plate gas stove plus a working fridge and freezer.

It was so peaceful, almost like being at a spa, and the place is environmentally friendly too. I had a great stay, felt at home, and found the staff friendly and helpful. I’d definitely recommend it and will stay again. Keep going, Vanessa and hubby!
