The Junction Boutique Hotel

Breakfast was good, but I won’t be back. The owners seemed like complete amateurs. There was no backup for loadshedding, no inverter, generator, or batteries, so there were no lights or TV or anything to make things more comfortable. The fitted sheets didn’t fit the bed, the bathroom geyser was noisy, the room fridge kept me awake, and rain runoff outside the bedroom was loud because there was no gutter.

The breakfast had plenty of choices, tasted great, and was presented beautifully. The rooms were comfortable and luxurious, with lovely decor and impressive attention to detail, especially the beds and bathrooms. Reception staff greeted me warmly, and everyone was helpful throughout my stay, going out of their way to make me comfortable. I really enjoyed my time at The Junction Boutique Hotel and would happily recommend it.

We were blown away by the beautiful, clean rooms and how friendly and helpful the staff were. Willi made us the best trout eggs Benedict we’ve ever had, and the breakfast was just WOW. The hotel is really central, with everything close by. A 10/10 stay in every way. Thanks Rita & team, we’ll definitely be back when we go to Plett.

The service was -10/10, even with eight waiting staff for ten tables. When we arrived, they offered to split our group between two tables on opposite sides of the restaurant. The open kitchen showed staff moving slowly and seeming confused, while the manager shouted orders loud enough for the whole restaurant to hear. Some of the food was fine, but the breakfasts came cold with soggy bread, and the bacon was missing from a bacon cheese toastie, even though a cheese toastie wasn’t on the menu. One of the girls also found a coin at the bottom of her iced coffee. Worst restaurant experience I’ve had.
