Ledimor Guesthouse

We booked and paid a week ahead, then drove seven hours from Mafikeng to Polokwane only to find our rooms had been double booked. It was extremely inconvenient. Three hours later, there was still no solution, and they told us to sleep somewhere else for half the price. It felt like a way to fleece clients and line their pockets. There was no parking, the staff were rude, and the owner didn't care. Stay away!

We had a confirmed reservation, and I replied to their email that morning to say we were there and would be using it. When we arrived, they said we hadn't confirmed and had already given one of our rooms away. We asked for the manager, but they quickly sent us to another, second-rate guesthouse. No apology, and we never spoke to the manager. Sorry, but we won't stay at this guesthouse again.

A tidy little B&B with good quality furnishings. I just wish there'd been a remote for the gate. Breakfast also costs extra, and being so close to the main road takes some getting used to.

I had to wait for the electricity to come back, which wasn't until after eleven. There'd been no communication about the load shedding schedule, so I didn't know it would happen around 9 in the morning. If I'd known, I would've made a plan to iron before checking out.
