The rooms are spacious, the beds comfortable, and the showers work well. Katherine and John were excellent hosts at Sheilan House, our favourite place we’ve stayed in Port Alfred, and the tasty breakfast was a welcome extra. The beach takes a walk to reach, but it’s not as far as you might think, and you can just hear the waves in the distance. There’s lots of birdlife too. We also enjoyed the nearby small restaurant for lunch, deli, and bakery, with tasty quiches and sandwiches. We like supporting local businesses and would happily visit again.

Katherine and John were such friendly, wonderful hosts. The B&B has charming decor and a warm feel, and it’s easy to get around PA from there. There’s a great pub close by too, so I could enjoy plenty of ales and wander back home. A delightful stay.

John was friendly and sorted out another place for us when there was a booking mistake, which we appreciated. We were very comfortable at Sheilan House, a quiet guesthouse with spacious rooms, a small private patio, and a lovely shared pool for cooling off.
