The house is lovely to look at, but the housekeeping was poor. Mark, the manager, sent the cleaner back on the second day to clean it again, and yoh!... Even so, we had a pleasant vacation.

We loved the wonderful sea views and the lovely, safe area. The house was tidy, with no rubbish anywhere, not even hidden behind the garage. Our dogs enjoyed the place too.

Mark, what a beautiful place, with a great view, excellent service and more than enough kitchen appliances. Visitors, please replace any crockery you damage. It’s just the decent thing to do when the owner trusts you enough not to inspect the place before you leave.

The one thing that could have been better was the lounge chairs. Their cushions were a little worn, though everything else was fantastic. Peace Cottage had been on our list for ages, and because it’s so popular, we were over the moon to finally book it for February 2015. We came as a family of eight and found the spacious, well-equipped home very comfortable. There are four bedrooms and three bathrooms, two of them en-suite, so everyone had room and privacy. The kitchen and scullery gave us plenty of space to prepare meals. The view from the house is stunning, and the private pool faces the garden and sea. You can drive a short way to beautiful Tweni beach or spend the day by the pool looking out at the ocean. It’s about a 75-minute drive from Durban.

We watched whales all weekend, with spectacular views from the accommodation. The place was beautiful, spacious, well equipped and comfortable, and the owners were very friendly. Highly recommended!
