Casa Flora Guesthouse

We spent five days here and the staff made our three-month-old baby and us feel completely at home. The breakfasts were great, and our room was large and comfortable. It felt safe and welcoming. As an expat South African, I’d seen a few places described as being in Silver Lakes that weren’t actually inside the estate. Casa Flora really is within the secure estate, and it’s well placed for walks to the clubhouse and restaurant. Thanks for looking after us. We’ll be back ❤️

We stayed as a couple with our dog, and having a room that opened straight onto the garden worked perfectly. Everyone was welcoming and very dog-friendly. Nala could go everywhere with us, or stay in the room if we wanted. When we went for a run, we told the manager she’d be there. She said she’d text if there were any problems, which put us at ease. Breakfast was a great start to the day. There were hot choices like eggs, bacon and sausages, or you could ask for an omelette. It was all tasty, and we especially liked the cornflakes. The manager was kind and helpful, gave us useful advice for the onward journey, and made sure we were comfortable. We had a fantastic stay and would happily return. Highly recommended!

Lenise is a big part of why I enjoy coming back to Casa Flora. She’s friendly, knows a lot, and I look forward to seeing her every time. The accommodation, breakfast and estate are all wonderful, with plenty to do without leaving the estate. I’d recommend it for a solo stay or a larger group. I’d want to come back as soon as possible, and when I’m in Pretoria I wouldn’t stay anywhere else.

I don’t usually write many reviews, but this place was just what I needed on my trip. I wanted somewhere I could feel safe, and the location went beyond what I expected. Check-in was smooth, the staff were great, and the quiet, peaceful days were exactly right for me. Websites can tell you what’s nearby and all that, but having stayed here myself, if you’re looking in this area, stop searching and book it.
