Menlyn Mews BnB

I gave the place a chance despite the negative comments, and it turned out to be great value. The staff are wonderfully friendly, the location is prime, and the mall is only a five-minute walk away. It’s not Sheraton luxury at a budget price, so don’t expect that. I’d recommend it for holidays, business trips, weekend escapes, long stays or just one night.

The photos in the advert don’t show the actual condition. The cleaning staff are doing their best, but the property is very old and has a persistent unpleasant smell. In the shared room, the bathroom ventilation is inadequate. The windows open onto a garage where things are packed right against them, so there’s no fresh air. The plumbing makes loud noises through the walls whenever someone uses a tap or water, which is very disturbing. The drinks fridge is badly rusted. Please see the place in person before committing, and book at your own risk. The owner clearly doesn’t value customers. Don’t call me with an apology, it won’t give me back my experience or money.

We booked for the kids and asked about catering. The meals were delicious, and the staff were friendly and ready to help. It’s in a good location, quiet and next to Menlyn maine mall. Some rooms didn’t have TV remotes, though, and there was no daily room service. I’d recommend room service for guests with kids.

The staff were fine, but the room just wasn’t good. The place looks nothing like the pictures.
