The online pictures made the place look clean, but that wasn’t what we found. The pool was dirty and the sheets weren’t clean, so my family and I couldn’t swim or enjoy our visit the way we’d planned.

The staff were thoughtful and communicative, and really made an effort to help. They even arranged a divine massage in our room. We came for a romantic night away, and the room was beautiful, as were the veranda and pool area. It looks like they’re planning to add a jacuzzi and full spa facilities, so we’re looking forward to returning.

The owner was friendly and accommodating, and let us know the lodge was having some renovation and maintenance work done. We had a cosy stay back in February and liked the building’s distinctive design and décor. Breakfast was good and the cleanliness satisfactory. Just be aware that some rooms don’t have en-suite bathrooms, and the floorboards can get quite noisy when lots of guests are moving around. Still, it was a decent stay.

The people here were so friendly and helpful. It’s affordable and comfortable, with a great breakfast, clean towels and lovely toiletries. They also accommodated my mom in her wheelchair, which I really appreciated. I’d stay here whenever I visit Pretoria. You were the best.

The house is awesome, neat and clean, and breakfast was great. My wife was staying there alone today, and the staff went out of their way to make sure she was comfortable. Everyone was very friendly.
