Eagles Rock Guest House

Dear Marius and Sharon, The views at Eagles Rock Guesthouse were the first thing that took our breath away, with the mountain on one side and the city spread out on the other. We couldn't stop looking. The guesthouse itself is beautiful, and our spacious room was comfortable, carefully furnished, warm, and immaculate. We had a lovely family braai and relaxed by the pool, with the friendly staff making sure we had what we needed. Sharon, thanks for your kindness and our wonderful conversations. Your place is a real gem. We'd gladly recommend Eagles Rock for a peaceful weekend away, and it also seems well suited to special events, training, and conferences. Thanks for making the stay so memorable.

Whenever we're in Pretoria, we stay at Eagles Rock. The service is magnificent and the staff are about as friendly as they come. It really feels like home away from home.

Since finding this place in 2020, I've stayed nowhere else in Pretoria, whether I'm visiting for work or pleasure. It's peaceful, secure, and well guarded, in a lovely neighborhood that's good for a jog in the morning or a walk at night. You get city comforts with a bit of nature too. The rooms open onto the pool and covered BBQ area, with a fantastic view across Pretoria. We make dinner at home braaing every second night and watch the sunsets. There are recently renovated rooms from singles to large family options, and some are bigger than an average apartment. I'd recommend room #3, which has plenty of space for a comfortable stay and private work. Sharon and Marius are hands-on owners and around to help, whether you need a restaurant suggestion, transport booked, or something more adventurous like hunting trips. The kitchen staff are cheerful and will change things up if you ask. A really welcoming, well-run place, and a gem for me.

The WiFi was very poor, and when I asked for an extension cable and other items, nothing arrived and I got no response. On arrival I had to switch rooms because the internet reception was bad. They also wanted to charge R250 for a shower and use of the towels, with no apology for the discomfort. We barely went out because it was raining, and there was nobody at reception to raise any of this with. I decided not to extend as planned, then was charged double the rate for my five-day stay. A very strange place.
