My House Guest House

In Room 11, the toilet seat was so loose that we had to remove it for our daughter's safety. The beds were dusty underneath, and there was no microwave in our house, so whenever we needed to heat or cook something we had to go to another property in the yard. I also felt unsafe in the area. The power problems made the stay especially uncomfortable. There was an outage the night we arrived, and we sat in the dark until electricity came back in the morning. The next day, we woke up with no power again, and nobody came to explain what was going on. When I raised it with the receptionist, she realized the electricity was DONE!!! The supply was weak even when it was on: the kettle took a very long time to boil, the lights were dim, and the fridge and aircon kept taking turns switching off. The aircon also made noise as it went on and off, which kept us awake. The place has potential, but it felt like the people there didn't care much about guests or how we felt. It seemed to be a case of taking whatever you get. I wouldn't recommend it, especially for families with kids.

What made my stay at My house guesthouse stand out was the staff member who looked after me. From check-in right through to check-out, she kept making sure I was comfortable, handled requests, offered recommendations, and was always ready with a smile. Her warmth and attention made me feel at home and valued. The owner and the whole team help make the place shine. I highly recommend My house guesthouse for its comfort, luxury, and service. Would I come back? Absolutely! 😍

The hotel has a sign telling guests to tidy their rooms. On top of that, the receptionist keeps coming to your room to tell you what she expects from you. If visitors come during the day, she repeatedly reminds you in front of them that they're not meant to sleep there. It gets brought up all the time.

I spent my whole six-month internship here after coming from the US, and the owners and staff always went out of their way to help with whatever I needed. They made sure I was comfortable the entire time. My room was clean, tidy and nice, everything worked well, and I was completely happy with the long-term accommodation. I'll definitely stay here again when I'm in pretoria.
