The photos are outdated and don’t show what the place looks like now. It needs a lot of maintenance, though it isn’t terrible. My room smelled really musty, like it had been shut up for a long time, and the shower was incredibly small. The big open grass areas shown in the pictures aren’t there.

We stayed the night after a nearby wedding and enjoyed our stay. The rooms were spacious, and the bathroom was huge. The walls are very thin, though. I could hear my neighbours snoring.

After our wedding, this place left us with a sour taste, and I wouldn’t recommend it. They charged us a “breakage deposit” even though we’d used a third party for all the cutlery and crockery. Then they refused to return the deposit, saying we’d left refuse in their dustbins after the wedding. I wrote a letter of demand and will institute civil proceedings if they don’t pay, but nobody should have to deal with this unpleasantness after their wedding.

The cottages, restaurant, and venue are beautiful, and there’s even a church building. It’s surrounded by nature, with lovely trees and amazing bird life. Definitely recommended.

Booking The Highveld Cape Inn was hassle free. We spent a night in room 2, a beautiful, clean self-catering family room. The place is stunning and has such a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. I highly recommend The Highveld Cape Inn.
