The Karoo feels perfect in any season. We visited in the middle of winter and were glad for the heating blanket and especially the fireplace. I'd love to come back in summer and take a dip in the pool.

Elise kept in touch on WhatsApp with useful details, then called to make sure we'd arrived and settled in safely. We stayed in the Elfen Cottage, which was cute, clean, and well equipped. The bed was warm on a rainy night too. We had a wonderful stay, thanks!

We stayed during the week and saved R750, so it was definitely good value. The service was five star, and there was no loadshedding. The place had DSTv, wifi, a courtyard, stoep, sofa, kitchen, and dining table, with plenty of privacy. Wifi wasn't great, but who cares about that in a spot like this.

Elfen House was the best of our stays in Prince Albert, even though we've visited the town a couple of times before. We stopped there overnight in July while travelling from Joburg to Franschhoek. The house had everything we needed, and the outdoor area was lovely, with a glimpse of the mountains over the wall. We braaied, watched the Springboks beat Wales, and enjoyed the quiet. The decor is lovely, and the house felt homely and clean. Best of all, it's pet friendly. Highly recommended.
