I'm a local, and I want to point out that a 15% tip is added automatically to your restaurant bill for food and drinks, without any notice. That applies even if you order and collect everything at the bar. If they want more support from locals, they shouldn't rob us. We'll tip, but on our own terms. A tip depends on the service, it shouldn't be compulsory!

Clean rooms, helpful service, and friendly staff made for a comfortable stay, with modern amenities and a convenient location too. It seemed good value for the money. A solid option whether you're travelling for business or leisure.

The little fish in the ponds eat the dead skin off your feet, which was a new experience for me. I was surprised by how refreshing and enjoyable it felt, and my skin was left incredibly smooth. The venue was beautifully maintained, with a calm, relaxing feel from the moment I arrived. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and guided me through everything with care and professionalism. It was memorable, soothing, and effective. I'd recommend it if you're looking to try something different and rejuvenating.

♥️ Another lovely visit here. The gardens look beautiful and are well cared for, and sitting outside at my own little covered patio table was so relaxing. My room was clean and had everything I needed, with a comfortable bed, crisp linen, and plenty of pillows. Breakfast was fresh and yummy, with a generous amount and a good range of choices. It's near shopping if you have a car or use Uber, and there are nice short nature walks nearby. Woodpecker Inn can also pick you up from or drop you at the airport if needed. Thanks to Jacques, Kowie, Nina, and all the staff for being such lovely, welcoming people in Richards Bay. You're treasures, and your place is a gem 💗xx
