Nostalgia Self Catering Guesthouse

Charles and Esme were helpful and so welcoming. We had a private stay with safe parking, and the neat, cosy cottage had everything we needed to feel comfortable. They even left us a welcome gift of delicious goodies. We can definitely recommend Nostalgia in Riversdal.

The cottage had that authentic farm feel, and we loved the relaxed atmosphere. Honestly, we could've stayed forever. Charles and Esmé made us feel special from the start. Before we'd even properly met, Charles was already making sure our stay would go well. He welcomed me like an old friend, gave us a gift and maps of Riversdale and the surrounding area, then drove us around and showed us what we needed to know about the beautiful cottage overlooking fields and mountains just outside town. The welcome package had rusks, cookies, milk and honey. There was also a handwritten welcome card at the foot of the bed, along with chocolates, fresh towels and a washing cloth. That personal care and attention to detail really set them apart from any other guesthouse we've stayed in. The two-night stay at the Nostagia farm cottage gets 100 out of 10 from me. A lovely little garden full of lavender and a friendly Great Dane added to the charm of this antique gem in the middle of Riversdale. The owners, Charles and Esmé, were exceptionally welcoming. The beautiful furniture and decor have been in the family since the 1800s, while the room and kitchen were cosy and modern, with an en suite. I'll be back!

We had such a good time and would definitely recommend staying here. The service was splendid, everyone was friendly, and the place was stunning. Charles and Esme, thanks for the unexpected welcome gift. Hope to see you again.
