There was no hot water where I was staying, and they didn’t change the sheets. I found spiders every night, and the beds were bad.

The restaurant and food were really good. The conference rooms looked nice, though they were fairly small and had poor air conditioning. The place itself is beautiful, but getting to the entrance means taking a dangerous curved road, especially when coming from Rustenburg, and it seems prone to fatal crashes. The steep grounds and lack of wheelchair access make it difficult for people with disabilities and older guests to get around.

There wasn’t any soap, shampoo or toilet paper in my room on the last day. On my first day, the TV didn’t work and the room’s central light was out. I was so disappointed.

I’ve always loved Kgaswane, so this has been especially frustrating. I booked for a group, paid to secure the reservation, and then the president moved the country to level 4, which meant we couldn’t have a social gathering. I called to cancel because I didn’t know when we’d return to level 3. It’s been more than a month since I paid, and I’ve sent emails, called and even sent SMS messages with no feedback. When I call the office, they ask who I spoke to and give me the worst excuses to drag this out. After level 3 returned on 26 July, I called again. They said they’d get back to me, but when I called on 13 August, they told me they still hadn’t returned to the office, even though they’d said they would once level 3 began. My refund is still being “investigated,” despite my earlier emails and the proof of payment I sent according to the quote I received. I don’t know how long I’m supposed to wait, but this service is ridiculous and so frustrating. I won’t recommend the place or come back. I just want my funds back.
