We booked and paid extra in advance to upgrade our room because we wanted to avoid last-minute problems. When we arrived, our room had been given to someone else, and they offered us a lower room. Even with our full booking reference, they asked us to show pictures of what we had booked. When we objected, they called us perfectionists and said mistakes happen. But giving away the room we booked is exactly the sort of mistake we'd planned ahead to avoid. They should at least have had the right room ready when we arrived. My wife wrote a review too, and the response claimed they had offered an upgraded room and free breakfast as an apology. That's a lie. They actually told us all their rooms were the same, so why offer an upgrade option when booking if that's true? We weren't offered an upgrade or breakfast, and they know we recorded our conversation. They offered to refund us so we could find somewhere else, since we didn't want the lower room facing the gate. It was already after 19h30. They let us down over the room and caused us a lot of inconvenience.

We booked in July for September, paid extra for a room upgrade, and even messaged the owner on WhatsApp to make sure everything was in order. So we were shocked to arrive and learn that the upgraded room we'd paid for had gone to someone else. They offered us a lower room instead. The security guard simply said that was our room, and the lady in charge asked us for pictures of the room we'd booked, despite having our reference. They had the nerve to say we should take the room and they'd fix it the next day, even though they knew we had an event over the following two days. I'm very disappointed they didn't keep their end of the deal or have the right room ready for us.

The rooms are beautiful, 10/10. The toilet needs a door, though, and the basin is too small.

The furniture and decor are really beautiful, and the place looked just like the pictures. But housekeeping let the stay down: there was hair on the floor and even on the bed, the bedding didn't seem to have been changed after the previous guests, and the bin still had their rubbish in it. I raised it with Cathy, but nothing was done. I booked for one night, and honestly found that very disappointing.
