The towels get changed, but they’re much too rough and could do with a softer standard. The shower also needs a curtain around all sides so water doesn’t splash across the bathroom, and a carport would help protect guests’ vehicles from hail. The staff were considerate, though: they served breakfast at the 9 o’clock time I asked for, and waited until I’d left the room before cleaning instead of rushing me out.

We were welcomed warmly even though we arrived late, and the place was easy to find. The receptionist was kind and moved us to a lovely room when the plugs in the first one didn’t work. That room had spiders and mosquitoes, though, and the bed was in such poor shape it felt like a sailing boat. The old-looking floor tiles and walls could use a revamp too. Breakfast was really good, they even had cereals for my daughter, and they kindly gave us an extra hour before checkout.

The host lady was funny and really cool. We arrived after cycling from Magaliesburg via Breedtenek Pass, dusty and with dirty bikes, and she welcomed us and said we could bring the bikes inside. We were going to do that anyway, but she made it feel completely normal. We stayed one night.

Fine for an overnight stop if all you need is a bed. The rooms are okay, nothing fancy. My room had a shower curtain rather than doors, and water went all over the bathroom when I turned it on. That needs looking at, since a guest could easily hurt themselves getting out.
