Forest View Guest House & Self Catering

The garden is beautiful and adds so much character, and the pool is there too, though it was too cold for us to swim. We really liked having such a calm place to return to after busy days out, and enjoyed our stay. I’d definitely recommend it. We booked Sabie Self Catering at the last minute over WhatsApp while planning our Mpumalanga trip late. Replies came fairly quickly and the booking was easy and efficient. On arrival, we were shown around both apartments and then left to settle in. They were spacious and good value for money. A lot of thought has gone into the details. Almost every room has signs that answer questions, like how cleaning services work or how to use the different towels and plug points. As an OT, I was especially glad to see the shower had been adapted for people with different abilities. You don’t see those efforts everywhere. The apartment was very well equipped, including a Braai Box, which I thought was a cute idea. We brought our own items because we weren’t sure about Halaal/Haraam contamination, so we didn’t use theirs. My parents had a cold-water problem, and Annelise responded quickly to that, as well as to issues with the tap and oven, and got them sorted.

The Sabie Tube Race was the reason our group of friends came, and staying right in the heart of Sabie made it easy to get back and relax together after the event. We also had easy access to the area’s attractions and enjoyed the views from the accommodation. Inside, the rooms were spacious, the living areas comfortable, and the kitchen fully equipped. Everything was clean, tidy, and carefully maintained, so we felt at home and had what we needed to unwind. The self-catering setup was in good shape and made it easy to cook together. The staff were warm and welcoming, offered useful recommendations, and made sure we had everything we needed. It was a comfortable, convenient place for our weekend, and we had an unforgettable time. We can’t wait to return to Sabie Self Catering.

It was a peaceful place to unwind after sightseeing, and we’d happily stay again. Sabie was easy to explore from this well-situated guesthouse, close to amenities. The place was clean, in great condition, and thoughtfully set up for a comfortable visit. We had a fully stocked kitchen, two spacious bathrooms, and a cozy TV room, along with everything else we needed. We’d recommend it whether you’re visiting for adventure or a quiet break.
