The cottage felt like a real retreat, decorated with lovely attention to detail. We were very comfortable there and highly recommend it. Susan and her husband were helpful with our hiking plans and suggestions for local attractions, and Susan's cooking was excellent. Her range of dishes was especially handy on Sundays, when most local restaurants are closed. We stayed several days at Susan's Little Gem. The accommodation was spotless and had everything we needed, and Susan had left a tasty surprise in the fridge for our arrival. It was a wonderful start to our time in Montagu.

Little Gem really is a little gem. There's plenty of room, it's well equipped, and the outdoor space is lovely. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it.

Our cottage at Little Gem had loads of room, with a kitchen, lounge, and en-suite bathroom with both a shower and bath. It was well stocked and had thoughtful extras, including those incredible fruit chew biscuits, a platter for wine, and my favourite, the mocca pot that made the best coffee. The outdoor braai and kuier area was excellent too. This was our first time in Montagu and at the Little Gem guesthouse. We stayed three nights and could easily have stayed a week. It's on the slopes of the Langeberg mountain, with an easy walk into town for coffee shops, restaurants, and sights like the bird park and the hotel. We took the tractor trip up to 1500m above sea level. The panorama reached Robertson, with McGregor in the distance, and the Montague trial has several walks. We chose the easy 4km blue route. The town and Little Gem guest house are worth a special trip when you're in the Cape winelands. We'll be back.

The hosts were incredibly nice, and the town felt cute and safe to walk around, with a lovely sense of community. We were two families, each with a cottage on the property. The units had everything we needed, and the fenced-in space made it perfect for families with small kids. We'll definitely be back!

Very clean, comfortable, and well equipped, with a TV and internet. The internet was a little slow, but fine for basic use. The name fits, it's a little gem at the end of the road. I'd stay again if I'm in the area. Thanks, Janet, for being so friendly and helpful.
