The conservation work at Singita Ebony Lodge left a real impression on us. We heard about anti-poaching efforts, habitat restoration, biodiversity monitoring, and partnerships with nearby communities, and that purpose seemed to run through the whole stay. We also felt wonderfully looked after, often as if we were the only guests there. We were celebrating our 21st anniversary and my 49th birthday. Singita marked both with thoughtful surprises, a birthday choir, and special treats for our kids. After busy days outside, the spa treatments and massages were a lovely way to recharge. Our family of five had two river-facing Lewis Suites, a great setup with three teenagers. They were next to each other with an interconnecting entry, so we could be together while still having privacy. Each had a heated plunge pool, a game-viewing deck, and plenty of drinks and snacks. The suites felt elegant without being overdone. The recent renovation has made the spaces bright, open, and full of natural light. River views at breakfast and wildlife passing the deck in the evening felt surreal. The guiding team, George (field guide), Timber (tracker), Pat (banakeli), and Ebony (host), made our six drives especially memorable. They were knowledgeable, warm, intuitive, and clearly passionate. We saw far more than the Big Five, learned a lot, and had the best sundowners of our lives. We adore them and will always treasure the memories they helped us make. From Melissa Connelly, our Singita travel advisor, to the airport pickup and welcome at the lodge, everything felt carefully handled and genuinely kind. The food, accommodation, calm atmosphere, people, and attentive service all stood out. It was one of our family's most memorable trips, and we left grateful, with full hearts and memories we'll keep for a long time. We can't wait to return.

The rooms are amazing, the views are lovely, and the staff are so friendly. Great food and unlimited snacks too. For a safari, this is the best place, and I'd recommend it to anyone.

The game viewing was incredible, including the “Big 5” and more, and the veteran guides made it even better. The reserve itself is beautiful, and the staff really pay attention to your comfort and preferences. If you ask for something, they'll try to find a way to make it happen. I had the most amazing week at this resort. The service and hospitality were exceptional, and so were the food and accommodations. Private chefs put together menus each day, the mixologists made specialty drinks, and the spa was a wonderful way to get away into nature. If I come back for another safari, I can't imagine staying anywhere else. Cheers!

The rooms look out over the Sand River and the Greater Kruger, with magnificent views. Staff know their stuff and go out of their way to help, and the wine list is truly exceptional. Singita Ebony may well be the global standard for tasteful safari luxury. Every detail has been considered. It's definitely bucket-list material.

After the recent refurbishment, the lodge feels incredibly open and spacious. And the view is one of the best in the country. When wildlife is down in the river, you can sit there and lose track of time for hours!
