St Francis Golf Lodge

The Wi-Fi was having trouble during our visit. That was fine for us on vacation, but could be an issue for anyone who needs it for work. I’d still happily return, preferably in a room by myself, since the bathroom wall doesn’t reach the ceiling and the lack of privacy could feel awkward when sharing. We stayed two nights with my parents, sister, and brother-in-law, and Debbie made us feel at home straight away. She was so helpful and made the visit even more enjoyable. The rooms had pretty South African touches, high ceilings, and lovely views across the golf course. There’s a big shared room downstairs in each house where you can relax and have breakfast. The buffet was very good, with plenty to choose from, and Debbie kept bringing us special treats.

The Links is one of the best courses I’ve played in South Africa, and the location works perfectly for golfers. We had wonderful views and a super-comfy bed. Debbie Pretorius was a perfect hostess, giving us five-star treatment and taking care of anything we needed. Thanks for a fantastic stay, Debbie.

We especially loved waking up to the view across the course and St Francis Bay. The lodge was clean and comfortable, and the service felt warm and caring. Elna was already there to welcome us when we pulled up. She’s a real gem as manager, hands-on and always in control of her staff.

Our bridge teams weekend here was another success for the St Francis Bay Bridge Club. The staff were professional and the service impressed us. The meals looked lovely on the plate and tasted just as good.
