They even had a cooler box and beach towels ready for a beach day, which was a thoughtful touch. Lodge Afrique has a relaxed tropical feel, with palm trees, lush greenery, and a nice pool. The welcome from the very friendly staff, including a drink on arrival, made us feel looked after from the start. The location works well for getting around on foot, with the town center, restaurants, and shops a short walk away. There’s parking too, which was convenient. Breakfast was fresh, plentiful, and very enjoyable. We had a wonderful stay in St Lucia and highly recommend it.

The rooms felt a bit humid, but breakfast was made with care and had a good range of choices. The manager is very nice and knows the area well. A great little place in St Lucia.

The management team’s kindness, attention to detail, and genuine care really set Lodge Afrique apart. The whole staff made an effort to make our stay memorable, and you could feel their warmth and professionalism from the start. Our rooms were spotless and beautifully designed, and the garden was peaceful. Breakfast was delicious too. It’s unusual to feel both pampered and close to nature, but this place managed it. Thanks to the team for such a memorable stay. We’ll be back!

We spent lovely evenings chatting over a bottle of wine in the peaceful patio garden, taking in the atmosphere. The garden felt like a fantasy, with soft Bali-inspired lighting, and the designer breakfasts were just what frazzled, frozen city dwellers needed. We were four adults staying three nights at Lodge Afrique this July, escaping Joburg’s chill for the warmth of St Lucia. Lindi and her team welcomed us straight away, including the irrepressible Gerda and the lovely service staff. The rooms were delightful, and they recommended sights and places to eat in town and booked our estuary tour. We wholeheartedly recommend the lodge for a trip to the warmer far north coast. Muriel, our host at Lodge Afrique, made sure everything went smoothly and even dropped me off for horse riding. The staff were helpful with recommendations and booked local tours we wouldn’t have found ourselves. When I forgot my medication, they arranged to have it sent on to my next destination. That level of hospitality really reflected South Africa’s warm, welcoming spirit. I had an amazing stay.
