We’re already looking forward to coming back to St. Lucia. Colin and Natalie made our stay so easy, with Colin seeming to anticipate what we needed before we even asked. The property and its well-kept garden are beautiful, and inside everything felt welcoming and spotless. Our bedrooms were spacious, the beds incredibly comfortable, and breakfast was fresh, varied, and delicious. One of our most memorable stays. Thanks so much, Colin, see you soon!

The owners, Colin and Nathalie, made a big difference. They were attentive, gave useful advice, and were quick to help when an extra family member joined us at the last minute. Colin sorted it out smoothly. The accommodation was tidy, with daily housekeeping and fresh bed linen. Breakfast had lots of choice and was well prepared. The pool is on the small side, but clean and nicely kept for relaxing. Thanks for the warm hospitality and a wonderful stay, five stars from us.

Colin welcomed us warmly and had plenty of useful suggestions for things to do nearby, including a boat trip to see hippos and crocodiles. He also suggested Hluhluwe Imfolozi Game Reserve, a little over an hour away. In winter, going with a guide is recommended so you don't have to drive in the dark at 5 am. St Lucia has lots of dinner choices, from Greek food and sushi to seafood and other familiar options. Our room was spacious and had tea and coffee facilities. There’s a shared fridge in the lobby and breakfast room. It was very clean, though the strong cleaning product smell bothered us. We could hear and see other guests through the glass beside our room, which was next to the breakfast buffet, so breakfast noise kept us from sleeping in. The breakfast itself was delicious. We didn’t spot hippos at night. Still, if you want a special place where you can walk safely across the street unless hippos are around, St Lucia Wetlands Guest House could suit you.

Baie dankie vir alles, Colin & team! Colin paid attention to every detail and was wonderfully helpful, with a bit of humor along the way. We travel often but haven't had service this personal before. The breakfast was delicious, the bed comfortable, and the setting peaceful and green. Everything felt just right, with all the amenities we could wish for.

We ended up wishing we’d booked another night. Colin and Nathalie were the friendliest hosts we’ve had on our South Africa trip so far, always around to help and full of tips. Colin even shared his cell number in case we needed help elsewhere in South Africa. He speaks some German, French, and Dutch too, and maybe other languages. They lend coolers to guests for drinks or food on day trips. We had a large room with a king bed plus a separate room with three single beds. Colin said it had been the old garage, but it’s renovated and no longer feels like one. Both rooms were welcoming and comfortable. There were two spacious bathrooms, each with a large shower and proper door, so water stayed out of the bathroom. Breakfast was great, with several breads and baked items, cheese, meat and sausages, fruit, jam and honey. Hot options like scrambled eggs or omelettes with different ingredients are available too. The pool looked clean and well kept, though we had no time to use it. The location in St. Lucia was ideal, a few minutes from the beach, wetlands, restaurants and shops. Colin’s dinner recommendations worked out well, and so did the princess wrap from Kauai. We’d happily book here again. Our only “negative” was having to leave!
